Kitesurfing at the most beautiful beaches of Tarifa and at the Costa de la Luz
In Tarifa at the Costa de la Luz (or also called Costa del Surf) strong winds blow throughout the year with few exceptions.
Either the eastern levante wind, mostly coming from the Sahara (wind force 6-9, often more), or the weaker poniente (strength up to 6), coming from the Atlantic.
Thanks to these two winds, the coastline from Tarifa to Cape Trafalgar are well known spots among kite and windsurfers from all over the world. Tarifa is an international tourist destination.
Even the local Tarifeños call Surfers "locos por el viento" which means "crazy for the wind"...
